The Navistar OnCommand™ Connection has reached 200,000 Vehicles! Rapidly approach a quarter million VINs, this revolutionary system is picking up steam, and for good reason!

Since 2013 the OnCommand Connection system has exploded, and is now integrated with 16 Telematics Service Providers! Not only is this system shaking things up within Navistar's vehicles, but of the two-hundred thousand vehicles using OnCommand, nearly two thirds of them are from non-navistar OEMs!

Terry Kline, Navistar's Senior Vice PResident and Chief Information Officer has this to say about the growth of the OnCommand Connection: "OnCommand Connection continues to grow its subscriber base by proving its value to a wide range of customers who are seeking a one-stop telematics solution for their entire fleets. Through our strategy of integrating with a wide range of leading telematics service providers, we are able to provide unique, single-portal access to fleet managers and other customers who want their fleet's vehicle health information available through a single integrated portal. This open-architecture approach is helping many customers achieve significant uptime improvements, while also driving reduced maintenance costs."

Navistar OnCommand Milestone

The OnCommand Connection system works by receiving vehicle status and trouble code data relayed from TSPs, and turning that data into easy to interpret vehicle health reports and recommended action plans. This system works for all brands of vehicles and engines, not just Navistar® products. The reports and action plans can then be accessed through an online portal, email, or other types of alerts, at the preference of the customer. By putting the vehicle health of an entire fleet in an easy to ready, always accessible format, the OnCommand Connection gives fleet users and managers a distinct advantage when approaching repairs and maintenance, longer vehicle life, and provides an enhanced cost of ownership. This mean that everyone who works with a vehicle equipped with OnCommand will save time, money, and stress.

The Navistar OnCommand Connection system is now a standard, no-charge feature on every new International® trucks. The system is also available as an aftermarket solution supporting legacy International trucks, and trucks from other OEM truck brands.
